CAWM2026 Committee

Description

The Conference Planning Committee is responsible for the organization and communication surrounding the CAWM2026 conference on September 11-13, 2026 in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.

This 7th annual CAWM conference will be hybrid format (in-person and virtual) with pre-conference courses, lectures, social activities, a keynote speaker, workshops, and more! All wilderness medical professionals and learners are welcome including paramedics, nurses, SAR personnel, military, guides, ski patrollers, first responders, academics, and physicians.

We are excited to meet you in person, make connections, and learn together while advancing Wilderness Medicine in Canada!

Raz Peel - Committee Chair

PCP, FAWM
Raz is a climber, paramedic, ski patroller, educator, technology wizard/programmer and croissant connoisseur. In his free time, Raz volunteers and holds leadership roles in various organizations, including Squamish Search and Rescue and the Red Cross. Raz loves puns and used to be indecisive, although now he's not so sure.
