The Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine (CAWM) was founded in 2020. It is a membership driven organization, which is federally incorporated as a non-profit organization.
CAWM was created with the goal of connecting Canadian practitioners, researchers, educators and professionals with an interest in Wilderness Medicine from across Canada, and promoting the field as an area of focus and specialization.
CAWM recognizes and values diverse expertise from all types of experience, education and practice. Our membership includes paramedics, nurses, SAR volunteers, ski patrollers, first responders, academics and physicians.
